Jane Depledge is the course lead and founder of Soul Companions. She is a registered nurse with over 30 years’ experience in cancer and palliative care, leading cancer services in acute healthcare organisations.

She qualified as a nurse lecturer in 2002, with NMC registration as a nurse tutor as well as gaining qualifications in several diverse complementary therapies. She is a Karuna and Usui Reiki master teacher as well as a practitioner and teacher of various other healing energies. These variant skills allow her to deliver a very informed holistic approach to care. She is a trained FOIC celebrant.

As a regular reviewer of academic cancer journals and contributor to the Macmillan Cancer mentorship programme Jane ensures she is current with practice. She has been in receipt of various awards and continues to be a Macmillan Ambassador.

Her passion is making a difference and living life that encourages others to also make a difference as she acknowledges all people have a valid contribution to make in life and this can be nurtured to allow people to be the best they can be. In the end there is only love.
